    Description

    Offered is the Wunderlich Special Detector Tube by Arcturus. The tube is clean and in excellent condition. It appears new and unused.  Offered in original carton. The tube has a star on the side and "Automotive" stamped on the base, indicating a 6.3 volt tube designed for automotive radio use. Good filament, untested otherwise. Brown base, blue glass with all hot-stamped base graphics. These tubes were used as radio detectors with a triode that had two intermeshed grids equally spaced from the single cathode and the plate. Used as a full wave detector (am) with additional LF-amplification. This was known as a "Special Detector. Pick up the very uncommon tube for your own collection.
