IMPORTANT NOTE:We are able to ship to most countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and North America. Due to the pandemic, however, there are still some countries in Europe and elsewhere that we cannot ship to, and so those countries remain blocked.
Please also note that tracking is available to most countries in Asia and Europe (Japan Post’s fee is an additional US.50 per parcel), but not yet to North America and Oceania.
This Japanese wooden compass is probably at least 150 years old. The four markings on the inner circle show the cardinal points (with North indicated as just "0", not kanji), while the outer circle shows the 12 signs of the zodiac. It was probably made for
fuusui
, or as better known in Chinese,
feng shui
.
There is general wear and dustiness, and the needle, its post, and the glass that would cover them are all missing, but there is no other significant damage
.

General Note about Shipping:
Unless otherwise indicated, we ship all of our items via Standard Air Mail. Nonetheless, we are always happy to change shipping methods if faster (and thus more expensive) or cheaper (and thus slower) shipping is desired. The shipping options available are (from fastest and most expensive to slowest and least expensive): EMS, Air Mail, SAL (economy airmail), Surface.
Registered mail with tracking is also available for an additional US.50 above the standard Air Mail shipping cost stated in the description.
We are glad to combine multiple items for shipping, and of course will discount some of the postage charges for each item after the first one. Please note that the shipping discount is not large for heavy items, but for small, light things we will discount the shipping charges by 40-100 percent, depending on how heavy it is and how it needs to be packed.
We ship at least once and very often twice a week, and so most of the time items will be in the mail within no more than 10 business days after we have received payment. We also always send a brief note informing buyers when their items have shipped.
