Vintage Western Electric 216A tennis ball tube audio amplifier w/ Continuity Ok

You are bidding on or buying a Vintage Western Electric 216A tennis ball tube audio amplifier w/ Continuity checking OK on my Fluke multi meter. This tube was Recovered from An Estate Liquidation Sale of a radio repair man / collector and was found in his tube stash which included two Western Electric vacuum tubes. I cannot make further test of this tube as I would prefer to allow the new owner to do his own testing. A tape found stuck on the tube was marked OK. Markings on the tube indicate the last patient date applied for was 10/05/20 but struck out as was the original tube number of 208A. Western Electric apparently used the same base for the 208A and now this one the 216A. Hence several professional mark outs on the tube base. A paper ring was attached indicating this tube is now a 216A. Regrettably most of that paper ring self destructed during handling of the tube. However the tube number part stayed on go figure! Also, noted on the bottom, some of the tar like substance is missing. I have seen this on other 216A tubes and don’t think it will cause any problems.
