  • Condition: Selling as is and in the condition found. Please view all pictures carefully for details and condition. I am not sure the date for this rattle but other post I have viewed suggest possibly the 1920-1930s but I am not sure. It is stamped Japan on its back. It still rattles. The rattle needs cleaned and shows marks and possibly glue residue. Celluloid appears thin. I didn't attempt to do this since I have no experience in this area.     Description

    This is such a unique baby rattle that I am sure it made a lucky little one smile.  His colors are still very nice - red, pink, blue, yellow, black, and whitish. It still rattles. There are no cracks or breaks that I can see.  He definitely needs cleaned.
    I didn't attempt to do this since I have no experience in this area.
    I read where the glue used with celluloid can sometimes turn slightly yellow and I can see some of this plus some other marks. Celluloid appears thin. I have done research on this rattle and have found one that was similar but not as elaborate. I did image searches also and could not find another one of these.  I am not sure the date for this rattle but other posts for celluloid rattles I have viewed suggest possibly the 1920-1930s but I am not sure.  It is still stamped Japan on its back (although it is faded).
