INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY:  Please look at the photos for visual cues on assembling the main part of the lamp. Once you have the main foundation in place then you can proceed with the four wood posts, the wooden square frame, then the shoji panels, and finally the second wood frame that holds the shoji lamp all together.
Slide the square wood frame down to as far is it will go.   Make sure the grooved side is up.  Insert the four corner wooden posts into each of the corner grooves with the wood posts grooved sides towards the center of the lamp.  Now slide your shoji screens into the grooves of each of the four wooden posts.  Finally, take your second wooden frame and place it on top fitting the shoji screens gently into each groove.  Your shoji lamp should be a tight fit.  Lots of patience when putting this together.  Once you've done it once, it will be easier the next time you have to assemble it.  Always carry the lamp from the handle and never anywhere else or you risk the lamp falling apart on you.
