    Description

    Two, Rogers X-345, #45 tubes, with the globe/balloon glass envelope. These are of course exact equivalents to the UX245/UX-245, 145, 245, and 45 tubes. These have the long plate, with the V-shaped filament- probably the finest, best sounding 45 of all. Used and tested on a Hickok TV-3 military tester that has been calibrated. Firm bases, excellent silvering. Tubes are matched for dynamic gain and structure- test at 2350, 2300 where pass/fail is 1170 micromho. At a 2.0 V filament (a reduced filament voltage from 2.5 V), these tubes still test at 2200 and 2150, which tells me that these tubes have almost no use. The tubes have the same structure inside and out.  One of these tubes is marked "factory second" which undoubtable comes from the fact that the etched Rogers X-245 logo was not complete on that one tube and "less than acceptable" for a factory first.
