THIS IS A BRAND NEW MANUFACTURE 9 PIN MINIATURE SOCKET SAVER
ALL SOCKET CONTACTS ARE EVEN AND SNUG.
IF YOU TEST TUBES LIKE A 12AX7 A NEW SOCKET SAVER SHOULD BE INSTALLED IN YOUR TUBE TESTER.
IT IS MUCH EASIER TO INSTALL AND/OR REPLACE A SOCKET SAVER THAN TO GO THROUGH THE TIME, TROUBLE AND AGGRAVATION OF REPLACING THE ORIGINAL TUBE TESTER SOCKET.
THIS IS A TRUE "SOCKET SAVER" NOT A TUBE SOCKET ADAPTER, A SOCKET SAVER ALLOWS YOU TO ANCHOR IT TO THE EXISTING SOCKET - NOTICE THE ADDITION OF THE SCREW, WASHER AND Keps NUT FOR THAT PURPOSE.
These
socket savers offered for sale have all been checked
for leakage and are clean
, leakage free
. Some socket
savers being sold have leakage
. This is a consequence of poor or improper chemical cleaning that contaminate
s the assembly. Thus when you go and install one that has leakage and test a tube on a tube checker that has
an amplified leakage
test you will start to read leakage even without the tube inserted - this is called "phantom leakage" no cleaning of these marginal socket savers will eliminate this, it has been
imbedded
in the
socket saver. The ones I have for sale have all been checked
100% free of any contamination th
at could cause phantom leakage.
Note: This is a 4-40 threaded screw, if your socket has a threaded insert make sure it matches.

and 7/8" Dia. and ships in zip-lock bag to protect from possible moisture du
ring shipment,
overall package is bubble wrapped padded for extra protection.
All socket savers come with a keps nut to provide positive locking.
