The Yokohama TY287 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was made to be mounted on the vehicle’s drive axle.
The tire ensures first-rate all weather traction. The optimal tread pattern and the all season tire compound enhance the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The flat footprint and the individual tread elements work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping capability, while the tire compound succeeds in maintaining its flexibility in all weather. The tread’s wide circumferential and smaller lateral grooves actively resist hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire’s footprint. The increased hydroplaning resistance and all weather traction work together to upgrade year round driving experience.
The tread pattern’s constant road contact improves the tire’s all weather controllability. The tread design’s maintained road contact boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes quicker and more accurate in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The constant road contact enables the driver to confidently control the vehicle throughout the year.
The TY287 guarantees a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The tread design features a three variable pitch sequence that negates the road noise levels heard while the tires are in motion. The variable pitch sequence cancels out the road and tread pattern noise generated with a sound frequency it created. In this manner, the noise does not disturb the vehicle’s passengers and it ensures an enjoyable performance.
