Here is a rare original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Clarence Brown's classic film about coming of age in the wilderness during the late 19th Century,
The Yearling
. Based on the beloved novel by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, it's the story of a young boy who adopts a trouble-making orphaned fawn and learns some of the darker truths of pioneer life. This poster is from the first release of the
movie in Belgium in 1947, shortly after the end of the war in Europe. It features beautiful artwork of the three lead actors that is unique to this Belgian release poster. Another prime example of outstanding Belgian movie poster art.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium  14.25" x 21.5"
CONDITION:
Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border contains imprinted theater exhibition information and a tax stamp. A few small tears in the surrounding white borders. Slight yellowing of paper.  Artwork is completely intact. Originally folded as issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 22 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
