Here is a stunning original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Leslie Arliss' classic Gainsborough melodrama,
The Wicked Lady
. The film starred Margaret Lockwood as a bored nobleman's wife who becomes a highwayman for the excitement. In England, the film had one of the top audience grosses of any movie of its period. This poster is from the first Belgian release of the film in 1948 (judging by the date marked on the stamp affixed to the back of the poster). It features
outstanding
portrait art of the two stars that is unique to this poster.
It is in very good condition and seldom comes up for sale or auction.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14.5" x 20.75"
CONDITION:
Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border has some crinkling and a diagonal soft fold. A few small tears, bumps and paper crinkling in the surrounding borders. Remnants of a bottom snipe still attached from reverse of poster.  Slightest of yellowing to paper. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 10 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
