  • Condition: Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border has a few minor stains. A few minor tears, nicks and crinkles in the surrounding white borders. A small area of paper loss in the lower left border. A tax stamp affixed in upper right quadrant. Printed on the back of a map on thick paper. Slight yellowing of paper. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 18 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.

    Here is a rare original Belgian movie poster from the first release of Robert Siodmak's film noir gem,
    The Suspect
    . An unhappily married man (Laughton) begins a flirtation with a younger woman and decides to take action when his wife threatens to ruin the young girl.
    This poster is from the first release of the
    movie in Belgium shortly after the end of the war in Europe (probably 1946). It is printed on the back of a war era ordnance map (dated 1944) which was common practice in order to conserve paper. It is in very good condition with outstanding
    artwork that is unique to this Belgian release poster which seldom comes up for sale or auction.
