Here is a rare original Belgian movie poster from the first release of Preston Sturges's classic political satire,
The Great McGinty
. Sturges's first film as director starred Brian Donlevy as a successful corrupt politician who endangers it all in one crazy moment of honesty.
This poster is from the original release of the film in Belgium in 1949. It is mounted on linen and despite being trimmed and stained in the lower left border presents beautifully, It features striking artwork that is
unique to this Belgian release poster which seldom comes up for sale or auction. In fact, I have never seen another example of this poster in over 25 years.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14.5" x 19.25" (on linen)
CONDITION:
Good to Very Good Trimmed Condition On Linen. Prior to being backed on linen, the poster was folded and all the borders were partially trimmed up to the artwork. You can still see a small portion of the original white border on all sides and the printer's information still exists in bottom border. There is also a 4 inch stain in the lower left border that does not affect the artwork.  Artwork is vivid and completely intact. This poster has been stored flat for the past 20 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
