Here is a striking original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Phil Rosen's follow-up to the previous year's

Return Of The Ape Man
. In this film, Lugosi plays a mad scientist who seeks to transplant a brain into the body of a thawed caveman who could then do his evil bidding. Certainly not a high point in Bela's movie career, even George Zucco decided to pull out of this production after filming only a couple scenes.  Maybe not a great film, but a rare and fantastic Belgian movie poster. This poster is from the first release of the movie in Belgium soon after the end of WWII, probably 1947 or 1948. Despite a few condition issues described below, this poster displays nicely and would benefit from matting or backing to strengthen the thin paper. It is in nice condition for its age and the artwork is unique to this Belgian release poster.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  15.25" x 20.25"
CONDITION:
Good Trimmed, Folded Condition. Partially trimmed top white border. Bottom left corner clipped on a diagonal. Side borders partially covered with cellophane tape that has yellowed with age. An irregular 2 inch scrape over Carradine's portrait. A few pinholes including two in artwork area. Overall yellowing to the thin paper. A few extra folds indicating that this poster was theater used.  Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 18 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
