The film is unusual among films starring John Wayne since it is one of relatively few films in which he plays a character with a notable dark side, as well as accepting second billing under Milland. Wayne isn't even featured in this poster's actual artwork.
This poster is from the first release of the movie in Belgium shortly after the end of the war in Europe, probably 1948.
It is in good, trimmed theater used condition and features outstanding artwork that is unique to this Belgian release poster which rarely comes up for sale or auction.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14" x 19.75"
CONDITION:
Good Trimmed Folded Condition. Partially trimmed top white border shows evidence of imprinted theater exhibition information, some writing in crayon and a fragment of a tax stamp. Another tax stamp is affixed in the lower left border area. A few pinholes, bumps and small tears in the surrounding white borders. Some moisture stains in bottom white border. Slight overall yellowing to the paper. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 17 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
