I have a very large collection Of Asian Dolls, 3 Generations> A variety of Japanese dolls, ranging from impeccable museum quality  Dolls ( Edo Meiji ,Taisho & Recent Artist Dolls) these are all highly collectible & extremely well made
I also have what I would call Starter Dolls, Many of these dolls appear very similar to the older higher priced dolls, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?

RARE dolls are not common & difficult to find ,especially in exc cond, Both authentic, & original ,not married w/ little or no signs of deterioration ie. (lifting or chalky gofun)
Gofun can last centuries when handled correctly. Gofun should be cleaned w/ a soft dry Cloth. Never washed or wet.  Avoid displaying direct sun light & extreme temperatures
STARTER dolls are a wonderful & affordable way to collect Japanese dolls, perfect for displays & gifts. Whether a Young or New collectors These dolls will stand out!.
Most were produced after the war, following Japans gift of  Friendship dolls to USA (a gesture from Japan)

Most EDO & MEIJI dolls, will have some minor issues, For instance ,silk after yrs, can be very fragile . Digital cameras also show every speck of dust. Most of what the camera shows, is not visible to the human eye, especially in miniature dolls or up close images,  magnifying everything
