    Description

    Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Perfectly MATCHED Pair of Philips JAN 5R4GA Rectifier tubes with original boxes.  You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer pair than these.  These are Premium Quality, Military grade versions of the standard 5R4GYB tubes and are electronically similar to the Western Electric 274B.  These EXTRA TALL versions feature black plates with DUAL (2X), top-mounted "O" getters + an additional side-mounted "O" getter and a brown micanol base which are less prone to noise and vibration.  Identical date codes read from April of 1987.  SUPER CLEAN tubes with clear lettering, nice tight bases, and no loose rattles.  Test VERY STRONG with perfectly BALANCED sections at 39 / 39 each tube where 29 / 29 is minimum and 39 / 39 is considered NEW / NOS.

    I have two of the best tube testers ever made that I use to fully test tubes.  The Amplitrex AT-1000 Digital tester and the Triplett 3444 (with digital plate current meter) Tube Analyzer are both mutual conductance testers that can test just about any tube ever made between the two of them and can test for shorts/leakage, noise, gas, emissions, and transconductance.
