Description

Qty (1) NOS RCA 12DT8 twin triode vacuum tube.
The 12DT8 is identical to the 12AT7 except for pin-9.
There is an internal RF shield between the plates as shown in pictures.
This shield is connected to pin-9 and should be grounded.
There is no heater tap for 6V heater operation.
Black plates, D-getter.
This is a carton tube, no box.  Carton tubes are packaged
in quantities of 100.
The carton had been sitting open for years on a shelf
Tubes were covered with dust and dirt.
They were wiped off as carefully as possible.
The red lettering was damaged to a certain extent.
Some tubes have only partial lettering.
They all have strong gm readings on a B&K 747
Meter good/green is 65-120
All triodes read between 100 and 120
All tubes receive 100 meg ohm grid emission test
Tube is lightly tapped when checked for mechanical shorts
No grid emission or shorts detected
Tube is also given life test
This tester is set to factory specifications and is checked frequently
Dates code is 65-35 on most tubes, 35th week of 1965
Some have dates such as 65-26
The pins are clean as can be seen in the pictures
Pins were cleaned by standing the tube in a bottle cap full of vinegar.
No abrasion was used
