  • Condition: Overall good condition. There is gilt loss on the rim of the lid and on the undertray. The gilt and color on the main piece are in excellent condition. There is a 3/4-inch hairline crack visible on the bottom of the undertray and there are 2 shallow cracks at the hole edge on the bottom exterior of the main piece. Please see detailed photos.

    Description

    This hand painted Nippon can or jar container, complete with lid and underplate,is decorated with a colorful floral and gilt design and with gilt accents against cobalt blue. The piece is 5 1/2 inches high with a 6-inch-diameter underplate. Marked "Nippon Hand Painted".
    It is in overall good condition. There is gilt loss on the rim of the lid and on the undertray.  The gilt and color on the main piece are in excellent condition.
