TV-7 test strong.
Up for bids is a matched pair of RCA 6L6 amplifier tubes.
Both are military spec tubes.  One has the military Signal Corp contract designation and the other is dual labeled at at VT-115.   One has a bit of the metal base filed down to fit a specific piece of equipment.  These metal 6L6's are sturdy, reliable workhorses that perform consistantly while being rugged and stable.
They were tested for transconductance (Gm), noise, gas and shorts
on my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7/U tube tester using a digital meter that also measures plate current draw.
For the metal version of the 6L6 to be considered "new" a TV-7 reading of 40+ is needed (Gm=5000).  The minimum recommended value (65%) for the 6L6 on the TV-7/U is 25 (Gm=3125).
