JAPANESE VINTAGE BLACK LACQUER WOODEN 7 PART KIMONO STAND RACK

Description

This is a mid Showa era vintage (c. 1960) 7 part black lacquered wooden kimono stand with gold highlights.  It comes apart for ease of storage in 7 easy to fit pieces.  The bottoms have a tight fitting wooden pin construction (see picture 11).   It is easy to assemble as well as to fit kimono.   The top rod has up turned ends.   The feet are thick and hold the rack steady when loaded with a kimono.
It has been in storage for over 50 years and never used so remains in
excellent condition.
It measures 69" long by 63 tall when assembled (175 x 160 cm).
It would make a great room divider or clothes rack.
