    There are some scuffs and stains due to age.
    This is a bronze paperweight of a dove by Kentaro Hashimoto. The plump and soft texture is beautifully expressed.
    Kentaro Hashimoto (July 23, 1930 - January 31, 2021) was a Japanese sculptor. He is a professor emeritus at Tokyo Gakugei University, a member of the Japan Art Academy, and a Person of Cultural Merit. He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon.
    He was a member of the Japan Academy of Arts and Sciences, and was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon. He was an associate professor at Hosen Gakuen Junior College, a professor at the Faculty of Education, Tokyo Gakugei University, and the chairman of the board of directors of the Japan Sculpture Society.

    1974 Served as a judge at the Nitten
    1982 Became a professor at Tokyo University of the Arts
    1990 Became a councilor of Nitten
    1992 Awarded the Minister of Education Prize at Nitten
    1994 Became a supervisor of the Japan Sculpture Society Retired from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and became a professor emeritus
    1996 Awarded the Japan Art Academy Prize, and became a director of Nitten, a director of the Japan Sculpture Society, and a member of the Japan Art Academy
    1997 Became Managing Director of Nitten
    1998 Became Executive Director of the Japan Sculpture Society and Secretary General of Nitten
    2000 Became the chairman of the Japan Sculpture Society
    2011 Became a Person of Cultural Merit
    2013 Created a Shinma (sacred horse) for the Shikinen Sengu Ceremony at Ise Shrine.
