DESCRIPTION
This is a Sigaraki ware jar from the Muromachi period.
An eccentric Shigaraki ware Vase with a crumpled mouth and tiger claw marks on the body.
The overall appearance of the piece is also one that gives a sense of the harsh nature of the kiln and the way the kiln flame hits the piece.
