Next up is this beautiful original Belgian movie poster from the first release of John Ford's classic drama,
How Green Was My Valley
. This film was based on the best selling novel by Richard Llewellyn and starred Walter Pidgeon, Maureen O'Hara, Roddy McDowall and Donald Crisp. A huge box office success, it was nominated for 10 Academy Awards winning 5 including Best Picture, Best Director (Ford) and Best Supporting Actor (Crisp). This poster is from the 1st release of the film in Belgium after the end of WWII. It probably dates from 1947 or 1948. It doesn't come up for sale or auction very often and would make a great addition to anyone's classic movie poster collection.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  15" x 19.5, 17" x 21.5" (on linen)
CONDITION:  Very Good Condition On Linen.  Prior to backing, the top white border was trimmed and the poster was folded as originally issued. These is also some overall paper yellowing. This poster has been stored flat for 25 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
