Divided Plate Bowl Hotta Yu Shoten & Co. Hand Painted Japanese Vintage
This vintage hand painted divided plate or bowl has bright and vibrant colors.
There are 4 sections and 2 unique painted scenes, each repeated.
The outer rim of the plate is decorated in a raised botanical theme and looks like majolica.
This is pre-1945.
Ink-stamped on the bottom with a cherry blossom with an “H” in the middle and the words "Hand Painted" on top of it and "Japan" under. This was the Hotta Yu Shoten & Company logo from the 1920s through approximately 1940.
The piece measures 7-3/4 inches in diameter measured at the top x about 1 inch in height.
This piece is in very nice age-related condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is some crazing and a few spots of discoloration – mostly seen inside triangles. See photos.
The bottom footed edge has a couple of rough edges.
