Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 37" 12.50 R16.5LT Tires (D/8-Ply), New Old Stock
With its aggressive tread pattern and staggered shoulder blocks, the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R was built to excel off-road. These tires are also equipped with Goodyear's Durawall, nylon-reinforced sidewalls, making them more puncture-resistant than your average tire (not to be confused with Goodyear's later Kevlar-reinforced MT/R's, which are directional). While most of the surplus tires in this listing were previously mounted on rims, they were never actually installed on a vehicle and still have their rubber molding marks from factory. With most major tire manufactures no longer producing 16.5 tires in general (outside of the off-road market), these have become some of the last streetable DOT-spec 16.5 LT's available!
Most tires will have leftover runflat lubricant on the inside, a byproduct of the rubber runflats they were originally installed with. This water-soluble lubricant is easiest to remove by scooping out the majority of it with a soft plastic putty knife or cardboard, and then following up with a nylon scrub brush and mild soap and water to remove what's remaining.
