GE 6550A NOS Matched Sextet (6)

You are bidding on a closely matched sextet (6) of new old stock General Electric 6550A Tubes. These tubes were manufactured by MPD in Kentucky in the early 1990's.  They were purchased by Rivera Amplifiers for use in their TBR-2 and TBR-5 Series. There are very few new tubes left in the world. GE 6550A Tubes are the highest of quality and cannot be compared to any of the Chinese or Russian Tubes now for sale on the market. For restoration of Hi-Fi power amps, like McIntosh, Conrad-Johnson, Carver, and Audio Research sound best with these American GE 6550A Tubes.  Guitar Amps, like the Marshall Major, require stout tubes. Bass amps, like the Ampeg-especially the SVT, and Alessandro  sound the best and perform most reliably with the GE 6550A Tubes.  Having these GE 6550A tubes are the best you can buy. These tubes are NOT shipped in GE factory boxes, but are shipped in plain white tubes boxes, and packed well for global shipment.If you use them for home Hi-Fi or studio playback amp (like the McIntosh 275), provided they are biased properly, you should be able to get many, many years of high performance use.  These tubes are an investment.
