Fine Antique Japan Hand Painted Frame Cranes Cherry Blossoms

This is a wonderful rare frame, a love lacquer frame with handpainted birds and flowers making up the border. The opening is 7 5/8” x 10 1/4”. The outside dimensions are 17 3/8” x 13 3/4”.
I do not know exactly how old the frame is. It could be very old. It shows signs of aging. There is some cloudiness towards the bottom of the frame. There is some chipping and bubbling of the veneer, mostly on the outside edges, but a couple of tiny chips on the front. There Adi some scratching, and the bottom right corner has a crack radiating out of it.
It was hard to photograph, there are some shadows on the piece, but overall it is a darker finish.

Note the large size which requires a large box for shipping. It will be ridiculously expensive to send to east coast and really cheap to send to west coast!
