    Description

Early 1900's Masonic Lodge Blue Enamel Shoe Pin
From a Pennsylvania Estate, this is a Victorian era, beautiful, 14K antique etched Masonic Masons shoe pin with old "C" Clasp pin back.  Pin in working order.
    Approximately measures 1/2" by 1/8" - weighs .39 grams.
The Masonic shoe pin is a small lapel pin in the shape of a blue shoe/slipper. Many wives, daughters and widows wear one of these pins on a coat or dress when traveling alone. For many years this pin has served to identify loved ones of Masons to other members. The origin of this symbol comes from the Bible story told in the book of Ruth.
The little blue shoe/slipper serves as an emblem of the protective influence of Masons for their wives, daughters and widows.
This is an antique piece and shows signs of use and wear.  Please look the the photos carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
    Thank you for looking!
