    Description

    Up for sale are date-matched pairs of beautiful 1959 Amperex ECC88 6DJ8 vacuum tubes with the highly sought D getters.
    These tubes test as new, at NOS levels (all at 119%+) and each pair is matched between both triodes within 3% rel. micromhos (gM).
    Genuine Amperex tubes with

    These tubes are in
    excellent
    condition with near-perfect silkscreening with the Amperex logo, the Amperex Bugle Boy logo, MADE IN HOLLAND, ECC88 6DJ8. Glass etchings on the tube read "GA2" referring to the tube type and "
    ▲
    9D", corresponding to manufacture at the Heerlen Holland plant, made April 1959. These tubes have been tested and test at NOS+ levels, all between 119% and 122% (see test results below).
    These tubes come with marked Amperex boxes shown in photos.
    Each sale is for TWO tubes (one pair). Each tube in every pair is selected to match the other to within 3%. Three pairs are available. All have the same date code, the same wonderful silkscreening, all test at 119%/119% or higher.
    Test results of these dual triodes (using the average between a B&K707 DMC tester and Jackson 648S DPC tester (both calibrated each three months

    ), where 55% is the minimum “good” value, and 100% is set as what a new tube reads at minimum [the bogey value, NOS minimum, their relative µmhos], and anything higher is NOS+) are listed here:
    Each pair tests between 119-122% on each triode.

    The silkscreening/ink/markings on vintage vacuum tubes is easily rubbed off with any sort of cleaner (including water), even with fingers alone, so be careful!
    Always handle 7- and 9-pin miniature tubes by the pins and tip, and octal base tubes by the base.
    Warranty is void if tube(s) are damaged or used in faulty equipment. Said another way, these are being sold to serious buyers only running proper equipment.
