Description
Dekatron Shield (for Arduino) Kit - AD01A PCB & Parts - No Tube.In Kit Form (which means you must assemble it) you get a bare PCB (Printed Circuit Board), and all components (less A101 Dekatron tube) to complete this board !
This board, once assembled, is designed to plug into an Arduino UNO. The Arduino provides +5V power to the shield, which in turn boost this upto to ~430V, needed to power the dekatron. IO signals from the Arduino (2 outputs and 1 input) are used to control the dekatrons function. Though intended to be used with an Arduino UNO, any uC providing those 3 IO control lines (and 5V power) can be used.
Here's a link to all the instructions you need to build the kit, once you receive it:

Dekatron tubes are to be acquired separately, by the buyer. This kit is designed to use the Russian A101 dekatron, which I personally consider the most reliable Russian dekatron.
Dekatrons are remarkable tubes. They were used from 1950 to late 1960's. They are the tube equivalent of decade counter ICs, but performed this function in a unique and elegant way. Read more about dekatrons here:
Dekatron Stuff.
Board measures 2.7in x 2.1in (68 x 53mm).
PCB & Parts. Assembly Required !
WARNING: DO NOT CONFUSE THIS ITEM WITH THE DEKATRON DO-HICKIE or Spinner !!!! These are earlier circuits ! It never hurts to ask. There is the eBay messaging system. Feel free to use it.

If postage looks high, place the items in the eBay "Cart", and request an invoice from me. The shipping calculator, is usually not accurate on multiple items.
Domestic shipments automatically have "Delivery Confirmation", which essentially is a tracking method. International shipments will only have their "Customs Declaration" number listed, unless the foreign buyer chooses "Registered Mail". With "Registered Mail", the package can be tracked. "Registered Mail", will incur and additional .00 US to the total cost. If you want this option please contact me and wait to be invoiced. If you just pay for it (without being invoiced), the item will be shipped without tracking. eBay only required that I (the seller) prove that I shipped it. A "Customs Declaration" will satisfy that requirement. Its your nickel. From NOW ON, if its lost and you DID NOT pay for registered mail, then THAT'S IT !
There has been a history of delayed packages to some European Union countries. Actually, only Germany. Parcels to Germany will now have a "Packing List Envelope" adhered to the outside, to appease German Customs. If you are in Germany, your package can be held up in Customs for up to 6 weeks !
Items shipped to your eBay registered address (not Paypal's). Contact me using eBay's messaging system. I
DO NOT
read my email. Its used only as the Paypal payment link.
Please pay or contact me about payment within three days after the end of the auction. Paypal preferred. Domestic buyers contact for other payment methods. Paypal ONLY from foreign buyers. If you are sending your payment thru the mail, please email me that you are doing so. I have recently cancelled my mental telepathy services, so I can no longer read your minds.
