Description

This is an antique Japanese late Edo Era (c. 1850) lidded ceramic Imari bowl
made of a high fire ceramic for lasting durability. It is all hand thrown and hand painted with duck and floral scenes and a large relief
chrysanthemum
center lid (see pictures 5 & 9).   Hand painted in multi color (akaimari) Imari.

The bowl measures 6" in diameter by 4 1/2" tall with lid (15 x 11 cm).   Having been well stored and protected for over a century and half, this lidded bowl remains in
fine condition.
