This is a hand forged key from a Japanese tansu house, castle or warehouse from the mid Edo period (c. 1750). It has all of its original patina including copper over iron protective finish.With exception of minor signs of past use, (minor oxidation, and an aged patina) this tcastle key remains in overall
very
good condition.
It measures 5" (12.5 cm).
