    Description

This is an original Antique Pen Case & Blotter from Japan. This lovely item was purchased in Japan by my father in the early 1950's during the period he was a Junior Naval Officer during the Korean War.  He was stationed in Japan and periodically made purchases of local antiques. The flowered embellishments are typical of refined Japanese workmanship of the period.   The pen set was given to my mother upon my father's return from the war and has been displayed as a keepsake ever since.  I estimate the paired items date from the early 1900's based on the provenance notes I have.  The condition of the piece is Fine with the exception of the damaged clasp that attaches the lid to the pen case. Would need to be repaired by Jeweler to become fully functional.
Please review pictures closely in regards to the overall condition of this item and refer to the Condition Note above.
