Triodes
Hickok TV-7D/U tests read 108, 112, 112 and 115. A reading of 55 is the minimum recommended. They feature gray plates and halo getters. These were made for Motorola by General Electric.
The 6C4 is a power triode and may be used as a local oscillator in FM and other high frequency circuits. The 6C4 is also used as a class C RF amplifier.
Hammond used a pair of 6C4’s in their models: A-100, B-3, C-3, D-100, M-3, M-100 and RT-3.
Collins used three 6C4’s in their R-390 and R-390A radio receivers.
Hammarlund used three 6C4’s in their SP-600 radio receiver.
