    Description

    Two, NEW, National Union 6F8G tubes, wartime production.  Off-white printed logo bases, black round plates, reinforcing rod. As you likely know, the 6F8G tube is the shouldered glass predecessor to the 6SN7GT, a dual triode, where the grid and plate characteristics are the same, though the 6F8G tube has a different pinout and grid cap.  Outstanding sonics. Tested on a Hickok TV-3 military tester that has been calibrated, just to make sure. Firm bases, excellent silvering. Tubes are matched for dynamic gain and structure- test at 2550-2500, 2450-2450, where pass/fail is 1625 micromho.  They have the same structure inside and out, wartime manufacture as indicated by the "MR" designation, "Maintenance
    and Repair"- a wartime only designation indicating that these tubes were intended for the wartime civilian market. Tubes have the date codes "GN" and "HN", two weeks apart in 1944.
