    Pin Background..
Hanna-Barbera produced a succession of very popular
tv cartoon shows, including The Flintstones, Yogi Bear,
The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, and The Smurfs. The
Olympikids concept was developed as another show
but the story line was never produced.
These Hanna-Barbera characters included 6 Olympikids
and 2 coaches. They all trained on a ship. Other
characters were the ship's captain, his boy, and the boy's
dog and bird. Even though a show featuring them never
happened, the various characters were featured as
    Olympic pins.
These pins were produced as part of a collection,
commissioned by the Seoul Olympic Committee, to
commemorate the 1988 Seoul summer games. A second
collection was made for the 1988 Calgary winter Olympic
    games.
This information was provided in a 1987 publication by Hanna-Barbera.
