1977 Datsun Z-Series

Description

This 280Z was bought new in Tulsa Oklahoma by a doctor on September 8th 1977 at Sooner Datsun Center.  I purchased it from an individual that had bought it at the doctor's estate sale, drove it once, and put it in his garage.
The car has mostly original paint, original interior, and all number's matching running gear.  It has the original 6 cylinder, 5 speed transmission (completely rebuilt, new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, shifter bushings, and shifterboot at 89,000 miles), and cold air.  The body has it's share of hospital parking lot door dings, a dent on the top of the passenger front fender, and a dent in the passenger door along the trim line.  It had small improper rust repairs completed in 1993  which you can see in the pictures. I have the receipt for the work, and there is one spot on the bottom of the driver's side bottom frame rail. The interior in the car is immaculate, has a half dash cap added in 1985, and the spare tire looks to have never been out of the car.  The car needs paint and body work but mechanically it's ready to be driven.
