1971 Triumph Other

Description

I bought this bike as a part of the buy out of GSS Racing and per GSS it was run at Widow Maker many years ago. I am selling the bike as a project that needs restoration. I have never had it running but here is what I know about the bike as well as what I can see.  Engine Number is NE-02902. Another eBayer who had seen this bike in the shop, informed us that the chassis is a highly modified C & J MX frame. After the description are 2 videos; first one has over 70 pictures and the second one shows the spark from the ARD Magneto.
It has a custom Nickle plated frame, the oil tank is in frame. Bike has a mono shock installed, and a custom swingarm, looks like a nice job was done. MX type forks, tubes look nice and are 43mm (maybe KX 500 front end). Front disc brake works, rear disc brake does not. Both front and rear suspension are not frozen. The bike looks like it was left out in the weather at one time.  There is some areas on the top of the frame by the right foot peg that will need attention, I can see some the nickle plating is off and there is some rust - see pics. The rest of the frame looks OK. Tires will need replaced. Front rim has some erosion on it. The kick lever is welded to the outside of shaft.
I removed engine and get a better look. The head was ported by GSS Race Porting. The guides feel good. I can see one exhaust valve will need to be replaced, as it is the wrong stem size. One intake valve has water erosion, seats look OK, may get away with just new set of valves, lapped in etc. The cylinder is a Routt cylinder with Jahns pistons, 78mm bore. Light rust stain in cylinder and pistons are used but look OK. It appears to be around 800cc. Comes with extra set of pistons next size larger, so cylinder will need to be honed or slightly bored to fit these. Engine rotates, rods feel good on crank, has lighten race type timing gears, can see it has an upgraded oil pump. Comes with extra mag belts & one pulley. Bike has a custom clutch cover, maybe Routts.
Engine had oil in it as well as gear oil in trans, oil in tank on frame. Cams look good can see one is engraved Norris 480. It has a working ARD Magento set up, the cap is broken on one corner. I am certain it will need a tune up, points, plugs, wires, etc. These are parts still available from Joe Hunt Magnetos. I did not split the case or go into trans. Can shift though gears. The carbs are Amal 36mm and are most likely bad, for reference only. One carb is free the other is frozen, water erosion. Engine just snugly put back together, it will need to be gone through completely, set up, restored, etc. Exhaust / intakes plugged with paper towels to help keep them clean.
Bike has a lot of good parts and could be made into something pretty nice, bobber, flat tracker, hill climb, etc. It is just a roller that needs complete restoration.
We are not certain of the year of this bike, we have included the engine number so you can research. I am guessing it to be early 1970's era (eBay requires a year be entered). As this is a custom frame bike so no title, being sold as is (eBay requires we select a title option). Mileage is unknown as there is no odometer. eBay requires we enter mileage, so we put 1.  No warranty.
