"JACKIE COOGAN" EARLY FIGURAL
- 1920s. Embossed "USA VCO" marking on back (Viscoloid Company). 2" x 5.5" x 1.75". Painted celluloid.
Detailed molded full figure of child star JACKIE COOGAN. Coogan became a top juvenile movie star following his scene stealing success in THE KID (1921) opposite Charlie Chaplin. He was later famous for playing Uncle Fester on the 1960s Addams Family TV series.
Well painted imagery with exceptional eye appeal.
Condition is considered GOOD considering the fragile nature of celluloid. Mild surface/paint wear with mild celluloid creasing (most noticeable on front sleeve/elbow area). Figure stands well with no cracks, breaks or chips apparent. Colors are still bold, bright and appealing.
Overall, we consider this figural a very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
